Tri Delta was founded by women, for women, in 1888 at Boston University when our Founders bravely created a new organization that would “think more of a woman’s inner character than her outward appearance.” Their vision has grown into the dynamic women’s organization we know today.

Today, Tri Delta is a network of nearly 250,000 women, and we are committed to lifelong learning through educational initiatives, transformational programming and relevant personal and professional development.

A message from the Chapter President

Welcome to the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Tri Delta at Colgate University! Home to 140 members our chapter welcomes everyone who aligns themselves with our values of being Brave, Bold, and Kind alike to all. Our members are highly involved members of both their local and collegiate communities and are leaders in everything they do. I joined the chapter through Formal Recruitment in the Fall of 2024, and it was the best decision I ever made. This chapter has given me the confidence to pursue leadership and career opportunities I wouldn't have without the encouragement of my sisters. The friends I have made in this chapter are friends I know I will have for the rest of my life and ones I truly cannot imagine my life without. Before college, I attended an all-girls school for 13 years and I knew coming to Colgate that I wanted to seek out a similarly supportive environment. When I walked through the doors of our chapter house I knew I had found it. The funny, safe, uplifting environment I once knew takes a new form on Colgate's campus through being a member of Tri Delta. The women of Gamma Sigma inspire me and the rest of the Colgate Community every day with their intelligence, determination, and sincerity in everything they do, big or small.

I am deeply honored to serve the women of this chapter as Chapter President and hope to make them proud during my tenure. This community is a very special place that cannot be overshared. Through Tri Delta each of our members have learned to step into their full potential and more often than not go well beyond it.
